Getting Started

Minimum Requirements

fPost runs on macOS only. Windows is not supported.

OS and hardware

  • macOS 13.5 (Ventura) or later
  • Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4) or Intel Mac
  • 4 GB RAM minimum (8 GB recommended for large sessions)

DAW requirements

  • Pro Tools 2024.3 or later
  • DAW interface language set to English

fPost does not support older Pro Tools versions. Running an unsupported version will cause connection failures. Update Pro Tools before troubleshooting other issues.

fPost also runs inside Pro Tools 2026.10 or later as a Pro Tools Extension, with the same account and plan.

DAW language

fPost reads UI elements in Pro Tools to communicate with it. It only recognizes English. If Pro Tools is set to another language, fPost will fail to connect or behave incorrectly.

Change the language in your Pro Tools preferences before launching fPost.
